Commissioned works are strictly intended for personal use and must not be used for commercial purposes. However, if you have commercial projects in mind, we ask that you contact us via email at bouchardetc@gmail.com to discuss the necessary details.
We are available to talk about your needs and find the best solutions for you.
Prices and Payment
∘ Payments can be made via PayPal, DeviantArt, or Pix.
∘ All Payments are made in US dollars. Should you prefer to use a different currency, kindly notify us in advance.
∘ For a private commission, an additional fee of +25% of the total price will be charged.
∘ Please note that work on your commission will only commence once full payment has been received.
∘ Payment of 50% upfront is accepted. The remaining 50% must be paid after the sketch is received for the commission to continue.
∘ Once payment has been made, cancellations are not permitted.
∘ Please be aware that refunds will not be provided.
Complexity Fee
The additional fee will depend on the complexity and level of detail of the character. The following factors may incur an additional fee:

Complicated hairstyles, long and curly hair.

Including pets, props, or weapons in the illustration.

Detailed or intricate clothing, such as garments with numerous patterns, laces, ribbons, and frills, or armor.

Including multiple accessories or other intricate elements.
Private Commissions:
For private commissions where the client does not want the art posted online, an additional fee of 25% of the total price will apply.
For example, if your total commission price is $80, the additional fee would be $20, making the final price $100 to compensate for the request of keeping the artwork private.
Commission Process
1. Submit the form: Fill out the commission form with all the necessary order information and wait for a response.
2. Acceptance and Payment: If your order is accepted, you will receive a reply stating the final amount and a payment link.

If you are paying with DA points, a commission widget will be set up on my DeviantArt page for you to make the payment.
3. Payment Confirmation: Send the payment and wait for a confirmation message.
4. Confirmation and Progress Tracking: You will receive a message confirming the receipt of payment, providing an estimated completion time for your commission, and assigning a slot number. A link to my progress list on Trello will also be provided.

The slot number corresponds to your card number on Trello, where you can track the progress of your commission.
5. Work in Progress: As your artwork is being produced, you will receive updates at each completed stage, including the sketch, lineart, and final artwork. Your approval will be sought at each stage to proceed with the work.
6. Final Artwork and Completion: Upon receiving the final artwork, review it and if you are satisfied, the commission is considered finished.
Please note that the completion of each step may vary depending on the complexity of the commission and other factors. Regular communication and updates will be provided throughout the process to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
Revisions and Modifications
∘ During the production of your artwork, you will receive updates at each completed stage. The agreed price for the commission includes a maximum of three revisions during the process. These revisions are intended to refine and make adjustments to the artwork based on your feedback and preferences.
The stages of production of the artwork are as follows:
sketch > line art > final artwork
∘ After receiving the final artwork, you can request a maximum of three color revisions.
∘ Please note that major edits or significant changes can only be accepted during the sketch stage. This includes modifications such as changing the composition of the illustration or making substantial alterations to the initial concept.
Once the artwork progresses to the line art or final artwork stage, only minor revisions, such as color adjustments or small details, will be accommodated.
It's important to communicate any significant changes or requests during the sketch stage to ensure they can be appropriately incorporated into the final artwork.
∘ Please note that additional revisions beyond the included three may incur extra costs, to be agreed between the parties.
∘ No revisions will be accepted after the completion of the commission.
Alternative Versions
It is possible to request an alternative version of your commission for an additional fee. This can include changes to elements such as hairstyle, color, or other specific aspects you would like to see in the illustration. The inclusion of an alternative version will need to be discussed and evaluated, and the fee for this service will depend on the complexity of the alteration.
Please note that the feasibility of accommodating an alternative version will depend on the nature of the requested changes and its compatibility with the overall concept of the artwork. The additional fee will be determined based on the level of effort and time required to implement the requested alterations.
Feel free to discuss your ideas and desired changes, and we can evaluate the possibility and provide you with the details regarding the additional fee for the alternative version of your commission.
Intellectual Property and Copyright
The Artist
∘ Bouchardet C. retains all copyrights to the digital illustrations created.
∘ The artist reserves the right to use the commissioned artwork on their portfolio or for promotional purposes.
∘ The artist may upload the commission work as a video on platforms like YouTube.
The Customer
∘ Upon completion and full payment for the work, the customer will receive personal, non-commercial use rights for the digital illustration.
∘ The customer is strictly prohibited from redistributing, editing/modifying, tracing, claiming credit, creating merchandise, using for advertising purposes, or otherwise profiting from the commissioned artwork, whether through real or digital currency.
∘ If the commissioned artwork is displayed in the customer's online gallery, profile page, or any other platform, proper credit must be given. An appropriate credit line could be "Art by @bouchardetc."
Please adhere to these guidelines to respect the intellectual property rights of the artist and ensure a fair and transparent agreement.
General
∘ These commissions are digital-only, and no physical copies will be provided.
∘ Upon completion, you will receive the artwork as a high-resolution image file (.png).
∘ The estimated deadlines for the completion of commissions are 30 days or longer, depending on the queue list.
∘ These terms of service may be updated or modified in the future.
